GameDay Shananigans

Welcome week is coming to close, but damn was it a good one! My first game day in 2 years was fabulous and its days like yesterday that remind me how much I love Madison.

Also, my favorite store in Madison- the thrift store above amy's and pel meni - also closed up shop.

If Amys goes- I might have to move off Gilman.

Grown.

POR FIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back in Madison, and of course on Gilman. Laundry 101 is just 'changing its concept', whatever that means. Pel Meni is closed (tear!), and my first appearance at the creepy ass LAVA LOUNGE has been made (and it won't be the last!!).

I'm finally 21. Its my Senior year. Mostly ALL of the friends i made in college are not in Madison any more. I feel Old. It feels great to say..yea- i graduate in May... and yea It feels great to be back on Gilman : 3 years baby and it still feels like home.

Dusk and Summer

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage

This summer has added immensely to the goal of making 2008, the best year of my life. Three weeks of nomading in central america, new york city living and non profit working, family south carolina bonding, and finally this past weekend i got my up north Wisconsin woods fix.

A full moon lighting up a skyline of pines and rolling hills reflecting upon a lake of black glass.
Thousands of diamonds scattered across the crisp blue waves created by warm summer breezes.
Embers glowing in the darkness as friends warm themselves by the fire on a chilly evening.

The Carolina Heat

Back once again in Wisconsin after a nice 'cool down' from my six intense weeks in the big apple. The whole family gathered in Hilton Head for a week of relaxation and boy was it needed.

I should be packing-again- to move- again- but the thought gives me a headache.

So you can prolly find me watching the olympics or eating blueberries somewhere in my parents house until further notice...
