smile for the crowd
Coming home from very lonely places, all of us go a little mad: whether from great personal success, or just an all-night drive, we are the sole survivors of a world no one else has ever seen.

wake up
You never know when you're going to get blindsided by something...I guess that's where it got its name, huh.
All you can do is be thankful, and realize once again how F'n fragile life is.
Taking it for granted is something I hope never to do.

Jump Around
smiling through another fabulous weekend...
What better way to start out a weekend than with INDIA NIGHT! Once again, i.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e. If you've never seen the show...you're missing out. And from there...
Good company last night made my first ever denial at the door at Brats a little less sad, and we finished up the night on less familiar terrain across the street. I made it home to be greeted by large sums of cash that fell from the sky, and decided to treat my self to a little russian dumpling i like to call Pel-Yummmmmeni. Who would have guessed that I the guy behind the counter would be so kind as to buy my meal and send me on my way with a free container of glory.
A 9:30am Bucky Wake Up Call got my blood pumpin and heart beatin quick in anticipation for the long awaited spring Game Day. It had been over a year since i sported the red and white, beer ponging it in the front yard, throwing around the good 'ol pig skin across the street, and singing Swing Town with the passerbys....
sidenote: And have you ever been siting next to the winner of a $500 give away at a Badger Game? I have, and let me tell you...sucks not to win, but pretty damn exciting to hear your friends name being pronounced as you slowly look and turn to each other and gasp at eachother in amazement before you both jump up and start screaming.
Oh Spring.
Oh Bucky.
How I've missed you two.

Another reason you just gotta love the @ network...
I got your emails from Academia Europea in Guatemala. I'm Lithuanian, I'm studying in the Netherlands right now and I'm thinking of going on AIESEC internship there this summer ...I thought it would be interesting to learn something from you about it.

we all are golden here
The air is still brisk and the trees are still bare, but at least the lake can finally stretch and breathe.

Hush now, that's just crazy talk.
After two weeks of exams and non stop shit, this weekend was a much needed descanso. Shopping with the madre, waffles at the steep, singin at the KK, movies on the couch, coals burning the table?, swingin in the hammock, old friends, new friends, and everything in between.
I didn't feel like thinking, so i didn't.

hijo de la gran puta
I find it pretty ironic that a man who is so incompetent at his job was allowed to just give me a test to see how much I know from his class. I should be able to test him on his ability to teach, speak spanish for more than 10 minutes, and follow one train of thought for more than 3 words.
Yes i read your f'n readings. Yes I take notes on them. Yes I go to your worthless class as you speak to me in English for 2/3 of it. Yes I re read texts, and studied for hours just to make up for what you failed to teach. Yes I'm enraged that I'm paying for classes that making my spanish worse. Yes i think the Spanish Department is a failing department at UW Madison- if we can name primary education schools to fail, we should be able to fail universities as well. And yes I just failed your f'n exam.
Fuck you.

Fudge brownie specialty coffee
Longest two weeks ever. My fourth exam in two weeks will be over at 9:40 tomorrow...too bad I'm just barely making a dent in how much I have to study for it tonight. Spanish Literature. mmm.
I found a new study spot. The church across the street. Becca and I ventured over here sometime last week (i think?) after being jealous of the people cozy in the window all semester being all productive and studious.
Turns out its a sweet place. Free coffee and honor system vending machine (drop some change in the box and you get anything from redbull to skittles to bananas.
It has a good feel too it, after 3 years of irregular church going...it feels nice to be in that environment again (even if it is to drink coffee and study.) I think its the bible versus on the walls.
Maybe i'll check out a service.
Back to Torquemada. putchika.

Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living.
Every time I speak about my Tship it's like I'm trying to describe a strange dream I had a long time ago, but can't seem to find the words. I gaze into your eyes and look at the empty expression on your face, waiting for a hint that you too have had that dream, and that you'll understand. I then gaze at the floor for a moment or two. I can't find the words, but I can recall the dream. The words are scattered and surface deep. You would never know it but I can still feel the warm rain touch my skin, taste the fluffy tortillas as they hit my taste buds, hear the soft beat of the Regeaton out my bedroom window as I drift off to sleep, and I can see the smiling face of the guard with the automatic greeting me at my apartment each night as I hop out of the back of the pick up truck at the corner, and hurry inside.
You wouldn't know it by my words, but it lingers.

I have little to say these days, but I'm still here and kickin. My days are long, usually non stop from 8am until midnight- absolutley full with the usual same old same old of classes, work, studying, serfing, and aiesecing I suppose too. I can't believe we're 1/3 the way through 2008 either... time flies. It always has, and it always will.
The click clacking of the keyboards is filling the room, and it seems that everyone is bogged down with something, even more reason to enclose themselves in their own little 2 x 2 world. Sectioned off into a 2 x 2 box to themselves. A blank white coutner top clean, at their disposal, where they can set up their diet coke can, pens, notebooks and papers. Their personal computer allows them to emerse themselves in an intangible world beyond their finger tips. The wall between neighbors not only seperates the penciles and pens, but stands as a wall preventing communication or human connection.
Check my cell phone. Click clack. Publish Post. Exit Broswer.

April 1st flew right over my head
Because they are witty.
Ever wish you could go back in time and send that crucial email that could have changed everything -- if only it hadn't slipped your mind? Gmail can now help you with those missed deadlines, missed birthdays and missed opportunities.
