Cause its a long, long road little girl

Again i find myself saying goodbye, or see you soon to make it a little less sad, once again. The friendships made here are bittersweet. Bitter- because every couple of months you find yourself saying goodbye to someone you wish you didn't have to...and sweet- because you realize that you're friends with some of the most kick-ass people around who are doing amazing things.

Another reception, another new member party, another hug and tear filled goodbye.

perfectly content

I have to say that wednesday comes at the perfect time of the week. For many that may sound werid, but for many I'm sure you can releate. With the intent of going to the library at 845pm tonight- i was easily taken over for an extra two hours catching up with those I see so often, but then again not enough. PS this dude's in town. Sweet.

A full night's sleep is on the horizon and i'm dreaming of mexico.

High Knee Jumps

to numa numa will be done without me this weekend. As I sit at home (okay actually the lib tonight) and save my pennies, I'll be dreaming about how a little sacrifice of awesomeness this weekend will make up for itself this summer in Colombia.

RoK out Madtown- you're on my mind.

NUNCA SERA ALUMNI.

I just wrote an extremely long post regarding this documentary I saw last night. I went into points i thought were worth noting and my thoughts on each of them since its some crazy shit that I had no previous knowledge on.

It then was deleted. You now have no choice but to see it for yourself.

dos cosas...posible tres

1) All day today I was looking forward to interviews. I realized on my walk home from Grainger that its defenitely the part about getting new members and seeing the future of our organization that i love, and NOT the part about deciding who those people are. I find it ironic that i'm choosing who could be potentially sucessful in @. What gives me the authority, and what happens when some awesome people slip away. Yes i have huge stake in @madison, and although I'll be gone over the summer and next fall, Ill return to Madison for another year and half, weirdly enough that's how long ive been in @, so much can happen over such a short amount of time...i digress. I have a stake in the future of @Madison and I want it to be way ahead of where we are now when I return.... so supposdly thats why i can say. yes to you. and no to you. weird.

2) You know you're doing a shit load of work when you get kicked OUT of Grainger because its closing.

3) Is it weird that I got homesick this week? I haven't felt homesickness in years.... not saying i don't miss my family sometimes, because I do, but never a strong feeling of, "man i want to go home and see them right now and just be there and sit." I don't know what that is about- but its there.

la la la la la...it goes around the world

I'm settling in for a night with my Development Economies book and some growth models- sweet.

The emailing, the chalking, the class rapping, and info sessions are done...now the sweet part begins- seeing what kind of people we roped into seeing the magic of this beast that has consumed our lives.

There is a little dance party going on outside ... and my drafty windows are letting techno stream into my thoughts....
