Dear Organizing Committee-
I returned home this evening to my post-AIESEC life. That is, to say, I
returned to my career, family and home. But what I also returned home
with was a spark in my heart generated by the wonderful event you
organized this past weekend. The spirit of AIESEC is like nothing I've
ever experienced. As I told a friend at the event, AIESEC always had
the ability to give me that extra push to go make things happen. It
seems that hasn't changed.
I not only am motivated in all aspects of my post-AIESEC life, but I am
eager to see the evolution of the AIESEC Alumni Initiative and have
expressed my interested in contributing what I can to the effort.
Thanks so much for your efforts.
Best Regards,
Brian Burson
AIESEC Member (1991 - 1996)

Galalicious

This weekend kicked my ass. Twice.... and I loved every second of it. What a rollercoaster.
We got in Wednesday night, greeted with sauce and hookah over looking jersey city- perfect way to begin.
The next three days were filled with countless hours of work in the @ office, and in the hotel itself. The seven of us dealt with kinko's educated employees, mice, spills, displays, registrations, nametags, tech problems, powerpoints..on and on and on... all while working together and playing some bitches bitches...
Lookin back, we realized we slept about 15 hours in 4 nights, averaged one meal a day...our bodies hated us basically.
Sat night was one of the most rewarding things I've ever experienced. Seeing the night happen was incredible. Knowing that the 7 of us made it happen was so empowering..and seeing everything come together was so rewarding.
I can't believe this weekend is over..and I'm happy to say that I survived....oooh what a Galalicious weekend it was indeed.

Homecoming redefined

...The face my Granma makes as she waltzes in for friday fish fry and is surpsised with a drink in a fancy '70' glass and 150 of her family and friends from around the country...PRICELESS :)
I was asked to say a few words on behalf of the grandkids...well a few words turned into a bit more and half the room in tears including me.
I was a little bummed going into the weekend, missing the football game and all, but man did I need that. Family.
ps- my litte sister turned 16 today...way to go Ray

I would hold on if I were you...tight.
good question.
I flipped the page of my planner today to next week to see 5 days boxed off in green highlighter. 5 days. My heart skipped a beat and the pit of my stomach churned. Tell me, Since when is it October 10th?
Bueller? Bueller?
Since when is this 5 day field trip in the middle of papers, tests, 2 family birthdays??
bueller?
Okay, so I'm excited as hell- but I can't seen to find something to hold on to, or bueller for that matter.

all for show?
Two seconds later...
The recycling container gets emptied into the garbage can, then the "office paper" container gets emptied into it, then the magazine/"glossy paper" container gets added, then the container for small pieces of cardboard.
"Have a good night," He smiled at me as he wheeled his cart out the door.
