belittled by a painting

As I sat at a table in a local coffee shop today on my lunch break, I found myself glancing frequently up from my book to the huge map that hung on the wall over my table. It was massive and was detailed with different types of coffee grown in different countries around the world. Finally my book was closed on the table and I was just staring at the massive portrait of the world in front of me. An old man came over to me and put his finger on Italy and named off a city I can't remember. Without looking at me he breifly told me he's spent many years there including a few of his war years. He then looked at me and smiled. I told him I haven't really been anywhere yet but hope to be going to south america soon. He then went on to say how learning another language is soo important and that now is the time to go see the world. He walked out the door and left me alone staring at a massive map of the world.
