Jelly Beans in my Church Pew

As i wipe of my sugar fingers on my pant leg, the good 'ol Easter I remember growing up comes back into my head. Remember the days when you woke up really earlly and searched your house for your basket? One year mine was in the Dryer... It took me about an hour to find and I think I started crying. I think my Dad was teaching me a life lesson- he has done things like that a lot to me over the years. It builds character he says, and I'm sure he's right. And ya, a stomach full of chocolate before 9am...what a feeling.

Today was the final day I was able to walk through my childhood house. 15 years of memories engulfed me as I walked through each empty room by myself. 15 christmas trees, 15 first day of school, 15 summers, sleepovers, fights, spills, tears, laughs... It is a good thing memories are carried in your heart and not your house.

Happy Easter- Christ is Risen, Alleluia...

My parents moved out of the house I grew up in during/after my freshman year of college. It's kind of weird but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

But it could be because their new house is pretty sweet.

In southern Thailand they sell chocolate and banana "pancakes" at all the touristy white sand beaches...and they are just buckets of nutella topped onto banana crepes...so I guess I had my share of easter goodies this week....possibly too much. MMM. I shall go seek one now.
