Glow worm, glow.
Weekend Wrap up:
So I really think the clocks were broken during Spanish on Friday- because 2:10 could not come soon enough. It's sad how much a bad TA dampers a class. Everything we learn is rushed through with the TA saying..Es muy facil?..No?..and then we just sit there for 20 min at the end and I'm just in a daze- eehh languages are frustrating- and TA's with no flava don't help.
Well Friday continued on... and finally it was time to meet up with Tonjah and head over to Drews for a little Olympics Opening Ceremony 'n such to kick off the evening. After a long debate over if we should make the trek over to the newbie social, hop on the bus, or grab a cab- a cab was finally called and we arrived.
The evening basically rocked- Soo much fun was had with all of our newbies. De Ja vu from last Wines of the World- do not wear white to @ parties...do I learn?? Again- I fashioned a white top with a beautiful red splash across the front... greaaat. But at least I wasn't the only one there this time sport'n the fashion. The night ended with a looooong walk back to Jenna's to a very full A-bar- (yay newbies!)...
Saturday was a day of rest and worthlessness- I loved it (don't worry all day Sunday with Helen made up for it).
I was reacquainted with the wisdom of Chinese food Saturday night- I now have 24 lucky numbers...can say the awkward sentence "Duo-shao qian hao niu-rou, Si- yue?" translated into "how much good beef, April?" and was left with four inspiring words of wisdom to lead my life by...My favorite of which is:
If we are all worms, try to be a glow worm.
ahhh- how true.
